Ely Sprint Triathlon and Junior Aquathlon are back for our 9th Year, with the races taking place on Sunday 25th August 2019 at Kings School in Ely.
This is a great event for an introduction to triathlon or as an end of season sprint for an experienced athlete. The event consists of a 300m swim in the school’s outdoor heated pool, followed by a fast cycle route in The Fens with the beautiful Ely Cathedral in the distance. A surprise awaits at the end of the cycle before a challenging two lap run course around the school playing fields split over two levels.
The race will be chip-timed. Athletes must be 16 years or over to compete in the Triathlon.
The finish coincides with the Junior Aquathlon which takes place at the same time. There will be three separate races in the Junior Aquathlon, which are as follows:
- Age 9-10: 100m swim/2 lap run (Approx 800m)
- Age 11-13: 150m swim/2 lap run (Approx 800m)
- Age 14-15: 200m swim/3 lap run (Approx 1200m)
Overall a great event for the family to either watch or take part in.
